How much does a typical deck cost?

Every deck is different depending on design, square footage, features, etc. Serenity Building & Electric would be happy to help you choose exactly the right exterior project for maximum outdoor enjoyment. Prices for new decks can range from $3000 to $12,000 or more depending on your wishes and budget. Retrofits and Upgrades can  start at $1000.

How long does it take to build a deck?

Based on the size of your deck, an average project may take anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks. Larger or more detailed projects may take longer. And don't forget to take the weather into consideration.


How do I care for my deck after it's installed?

With a wood deck, shortly after it's built, (30 days in summer, longer in colder months) you will need to seal the deck with a high quality wood sealer. This can also provide a finish with color (the stain and sealer are the same process) for the deck. After that, we recommend staining and sealing your deck every two years. Some of our featured Decks & Screen Rooms are maintenance-free!
